The Barwon river walk begins and finishes at the Balyang Sanctuary. However, it is possible to start the walk at varying locations along the river. Take a walk along the Barwon river to experience the incredible view of wetland lakes, and plenty of swans, ducks and pelicans. Walking along this route you will see a lot of breath- taking flora. The riverside vegetation is compiled of river red gum, blackwood, silver wattle and several other plants.
There are several points of interest along the full walk circuit which include the Yolinko reserve, seeing the rowing on the river, the edge cafe, the Barwon river, ducks by the river, queens bridge, birdlife and many more.
